Professional Conflict
When a person's natural behavior is not matched to the behavioral demands of the job, they will experience a conflict. The amount of conflict or distress will be directly related to the length of time they are required to adapt or modify their behavior to meet the demands of the position.

Professional conflicts are often referred to as me-job conflicts. This type of internal conflict prevents a person from performing at their best and greatly reduces their job satisfaction.

The first step in approaching a me-you conflict is to determine what the conflict is and/or it's origin. SI provides both behavioral and attitudes assessments which assist in this discovery process.

Success Insights Employee-Manager™

Learning about a behavioral model will help a person to better understand themselves and others; therefore, enhancing personal and professional relationships. An understanding of behavior will lead to the accomplishment of the following:
  • Increased Understanding of Self
  • Increased Understanding of Others
  • Increased Communication
  • Increased Productivity
  • Decreased Tension
All of the above are important to effective employee-manager relationships and affect the success of workplace initiatives.
The Personal Interests, Attitudes and Values™ assessment measures responses in each of the six attitudes. The computerized report shows each of the six attitudes compared to a national average. You are provided with information on the WHY of your actions, which with application, can tremendously impact your valuing of life. Once you know the attitudes that drive your actions, you will immediately be able to understand potential causes of internal conflict. If you are in a career you are enjoying or if you are finding little satisfaction in your career, you will understand why. You will understand and appreciate your relationships more as you recognize and value the attitudes of other people. You will see how their attitudes might interact with your own.
Conflicts can occur because of a person's behavioral tendencies or values. Therefore, understanding of these two models is imperative before developing strategies for resolving or preventing them.
